This edition of the Boba Fett series features a new author taking over named Elizabeth Hand. It is a marked improvement. Young Boba is now 11 and is off to a special planet with another bounty hunter and is ready to claim part of his inheritance.Spoilers below.
Boba managed to lose Aurra for a while, though he gets legally robbed of most of his funds. Aurra tracks and finds him, but he does manage to get away.
This is an improvement over the last novel, with some great chases, fast paced action and clever manuevering. It's also not as juvenile as the last edition. While the books are written for a younger audience, this chapter has a more mature tone.

My sons aren't normally the types to sit around with a book, but they both couldn't put this book down. My oldest started reading it the day it came in the mail and had it finished by the next morning. He didn't go to sleep until he finished the book. I would highly recommend it to any Star Wars Clone Wars fans and I am thankful to have finally found some books that make my kids want to read and read and read!
I always enjoy gaining a deeper knowledge of the characters and their histories. This selection is well written and very entertaining.
I received this book sooner than expected and in better condition than described. I have really enjoyed the reading as well. Gives a nice insight to the life of Boba Fett as he struggles to make a life for himself after his father's death.
Star Wars Boba Fett #3 Maze of Deception, by Elizabeth Hand
"Maze of Deception" is the third book in a six book series on the life of young Boba Fett. In this installment, Boba and Aurra Sing journey to Aargau, the banking planet of the galaxy. Similar to Coruscant, Aargau is a layered planet; the lowest levels are the most dangerous, full of the scum of the galaxy.
Aurra Sing, a very dangerous bounty hunter, takes Boba to Aargau to get half of Jango Fett's fortune. Boba, naturally, isn't keen on splitting his inheritance with her, and makes a dangerous escape to keep the entire fortune for himself.
But can a young, inexperienced boy really avoid all the pitfalls a planet like Aargau holds?
I found "Maze of Deception" to be an okay book in the Boba Fett series. A week after reading it I've already forgotten most of it, so it's not that memorable. Younger readers will enjoy Boba's exploits on Aaragu, and his gradual evolution into the great Boba Fett of Star Wars Legend.

This is te best of all the Young Fett Books, clearly a five star read. The only thing that disquists me is that it didn't show much of Slave 1. Howevver, to enyoy this book you must read Fight to Survive and Crossfire first. A must read for Boba Fett fans and Bounty Hunter wannabes alike.
I really like the Boba Fett series because
#1 - It gives you the whole story from Boba's point of view
#2 - It teaches you about the planets in Star Wars
#3 - You learn about bounty hunters
I recommend this book, and ALL the books in the series!
Although I still think I liked The Fight To Survive the most out of all the books this one is almost as good. This one rounds out the three Boba Fett books (I shouldn't say that, Elizabeth Hand is making a book 4) and it tells about Boba and Auraa Sing. (the bounty hunter) If you liked the other two books I'd buy this book.
